  • Psychiatry

“Psychiatrist” has a Greek root and means “healer of the mind and spirit.”

It all started with family focused psychiatry. Our goal at FMP is to bring you peace so you can live your best life, whatever it may be. Dr. Mallick is a Board Certified Medical Doctor. She is triple board certified in General, Child & Adolescent as well as Forensic Psychiatry. She is also trained in various forms of therapy including psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. • IV Hydration Therapy

Intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) nutritional infusions are innovative methods of delivering essential vitamins and minerals directly into the body's bloodstream. The intravenous method of administration, as the name suggests, bypasses the digestive system entirely. By delivering nutrients directly into the bloodstream, none of the administered micronutrients are lost due to digestive processes. This is a crucial advantage, as some benefits of these nutrients can only be realized when certain concentrations are reached in the body. In addition to improved absorption, IV nutritional infusions can also help to prevent common gastrointestinal side effects often associated with oral nutrient intake. These might include upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting, which can often limit proper dosing and patient adherence to nutritional regimes.

  • Infrared Sauna

While traditional saunas heat the surrounding air to produce a warm environment, infrared saunas utilize infrared lamps to directly warm the body. These lamps emit electromagnetic radiation, which is readily absorbed by human tissue. This method of heating allows the body to warm up before the surrounding air does, resulting in a more efficient and comfortable sauna experience. The unique features of infrared saunas offer potential benefits for patients seeking heat therapy. The direct heating of the body can promote relaxation, pain relief, and improved circulation, among other health benefits.

  • Adolescent Group Therapy

Group Therapy provides a safe, supportive environment for teens to grow together in therapy. Group Therapy gives adolescents a place to learn more from others’ experiences while promoting social skills. If your teen is needing an extra push or feeling unmotivated with therapy, group therapy may be the fit for them. We will be offering groups focused on self esteem, anger management, trauma, eating disorders, substance and abuse, and an Inside Out Emotions group.

  • Sound bath

Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of our sound bath, a deep relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Lie down and let the vibrations of our carefully curated instruments envelop you, transporting you to a state of profound calm and tranquility. The resonant tones of the singing bowls will quiet your mind, ease tension and harmonize your body's energy. As the sounds wash over you, allow yourself to let go of stress and anxiety, and simply be. Our sound bath is a sanctuary for the senses, a haven for the soul and a journey into the depths of your own inner peace.

  • Mindful Meditation classes

Join our Mindfulness Meditation Group to help manage stress, enhance well-being, and cultivate a deeper sense of balance and calm. This group will introduce you to mindfulness - the art of focusing on your experience in the present moment without judgement - just bring with what is - to help ease your daily life. Our skilled instructor will guide you through mindful breathing and body scans to help you navigate your work and personal life with more calmness and clarity. No prior meditation experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome.

Whether you are battling stress, anxiety, depression, or simply looking to improve your overall mental health, our strength and stability exercises can play a crucial role. Regular participation can help reduce stress levels, improve mood, boost self-esteem, and enhance overall mental resilience.

  • Music Therapy

Music therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a board-certified music therapist. Group music therapy sessions are appropriate when addressing several clients with similar needs such as developmental milestones, physical exercise, or emotional processing. Group music therapy can elevate mood, increase self-expression, and decrease anxiety with all ages and abilities. Music is naturally a part of everyday life and music therapy can enhance the experience of both children and adults through both active and receptive activities. In music therapy you will explore instruments, immerse yourself in guided relaxation, and write songs to express yourself in meaningful ways.

  • Psychodynamic group psychotherapy with Dr. Mallick

Psychodynamic group therapy is a type of therapy that helps people understand their feelings, thoughts, and actions better. It's based on the idea that a lot of our behavior is driven by things we're not fully aware of, often related to experiences we've had in the past. For teenagers, it's a time in life when friendships and social life are really important. So, being in a therapy group with their peers provides a safe space to understand themselves better, work on their social skills, and learn how to handle disagreements or conflicts. For adults, this therapy can help with a range of mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or personality disorders. Being part of a therapy group can help adults understand their own behaviors and thought patterns. It can also help them figure out why they might be having difficulties in their relationships. Both these groups are like a small version of the bigger world we interact with, giving individuals a chance to learn and grow.

  • Therapeutic Massage Chairs

Massage therapy, often perceived as a mere method for physical relaxation, is in fact a potent tool for fostering mental health. It involves the manipulation of soft body tissues, soothes the nervous system, and promotes a sense of relaxation and well-being. Our high-quality massage chairs have been specifically designed to provide relaxation and zero gravity stress relief. These chairs effectively reduce muscle tension and enhance blood circulation, thereby creating a state of calm and relaxation. This can significantly contribute to mood regulation and improvement of sleep patterns. Moreover, massage therapy stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural 'feel-good' hormones, while concurrently reducing the level of stress hormones, such as cortisol. This biochemical response can greatly aid in managing stress, boosting mood, and fostering a sense of tranquility and mental clarity. Therefore, the integration of a massage chair into a patient's wellness routine can provide both physical and psychological benefits, contributing to their overall well-being and mental health.

Our massage chairs are complimentary for those receiving IV therapy & are available for clients to use if they are booked for another service (subject to availability).

  • Assisted Stretch

Assisted stretching, also known as facilitated stretching, is a bodywork technique that actively involves the client in muscle stretching to enhance flexibility and overall physical performance. Done under the guidance of a trained professional, it involves a series of stretches with gentle to moderate pressure to fully extend muscles. It increases joint mobility, improves blood circulation aiding in muscle recovery, relieves muscle tension, enhances athletic performance, and corrects poor posture. It benefits individuals of all ages and fitness levels by maintaining mobility and independence, particularly in older adults. Furthermore, assisted stretching has notable mental health benefits. It reduces stress levels by promoting relaxation and alleviating physical symptoms such as muscle tension. It triggers the release of endorphins, leading to improved mood and reduced feelings of depression and anxiety. Assisted stretching encourages mindfulness, fostering a stronger mind-body connection. It also serves as a healthy coping mechanism for emotional stress and helps decrease mental fatigue. Overall, assisted stretching offers a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being.
